Interview with Heather Dahlgren:
1.
What
inspired you to write your first book?
I actually haven’t released the first book I started
writing, I’m still working on it. The
first book I did release was Changed. I
was inspired to write it because I had lost my dad and I wanted to do something
to make him proud.
2.
How long
have you been writing?
I’ve been writing since high school, but life happened, and I
put my writing aside. I started again a
few years ago, and I’ve been an Indie Author over a year now.
3.
What book
inspired you to begin writing?
I can’t really say there was a book that inspired me. I can say that Fifty Shades got me to love
reading again. Yes, I wrote but didn’t
read all that much. LOL.
4.
Who is your
favorite author(s)?
This is tough, I have so many. A few are Kate McCarthy, Alison Bailey,
Colleen Hoover, Priscilla Glenn…it is endless really.
5.
If you had
to choose a fictional character from one of your books to have lunch with, who
would it be and why?
I would have
to say Blake Foster, from Behind The Book (Sexy Series #2). I’d say him because he shocked me with how
incredibly sweet and protective he ended up being. Not to mention, HOT HOT HOT!
6.
What has
been your biggest accomplishment since publishing?
I think
publishing is my biggest accomplishment.
Putting yourself out there is terrifying and to have done it, a huge
accomplishment.
7.
Do you have
anything else in the works apart from your book/series?
Beside my
own books, I am part of two Anthologies that I am honored to be a part of. The Happy Endings Resort Series, which is a
fun series because each month a different author releases a book that takes
place in and around, the Happy Endings Resort.
Each book is only 99cents. It has
been a lot of fun and I look forward to releasing mine next year. I am also part of an amazing anthology for
Ataxia Awareness. If you aren’t familiar
with what Ataxia is, please take a minute to research it. It is definitely something that needs our
attention. This Beautiful Escape is a
book that each day the reader will open their reading device to an
inspirational message from a brilliant group of authors. 100% of the proceeds go to Ataxia research.
About the Author:
I am 36 years old. I am married to my high school sweet
heart. We have been married for almost 12
years and have 3 amazing kids. I’m a
stay at home mom and my kids definitely keep me busy. I live at the Jersey Shore and love all there
is to do here. I love nature, birds
especially. I enjoy hiking and fishing
with my family.
I have always loved to
write. In high school I used to write
stories, poems and a lot of love notes!
I absolutely love to read. I love
the way I can get lost in a book and forget about the world around me. Now that I am writing books, I feel the same
way, only it’s my book I’m getting lost in.
As for now, I am loving this
journey of becoming an author. It has
been more then I dreamed it would be.
