So You Want to Self Publish: Stage One

So I have decided to start something new, in preparation of my self-publishing guide being written, and post each chapter here weekly for you guys to take any tips and tricks - or supply any you'd like me to add in. Eventually, my dream is to be able to open my own publishing company, and I think this is a step in the right direction for that.

I will be posting these every Sunday at 2pm PST.

Enjoy.

~STAGE ONE: WRITE, WRITE, & WRITE SOME MORE.~

So you’ve written a book that you’re pretty proud of, am I right? The smartest thing to do after writing a book is to put it away to let it breathe. This could be for a couple of months—even six months. That doesn’t mean that you will be sitting idly by—you will be moving on to your next creation. The biggest point is to write, write, and write some more. This is the only way you are going to improve and hone your craft.

So the time is here to bring your hard-worked creation back out and read over it for the first time in a while. Make sure you have a notepad ready because more than likely you will begin to notice inconsistencies or errors that you might have missed when originally writing it. This is your chance to clean your story up. Revise-edit-revise-edit and so on.
