1.       If you could have coffee with any character from your novels, who would it be and why?

Can I just say all the guys? If not, probably Anna - Lyric’s BFF in Save Me From Myself. She’s funny, sarcastic, and the best friend I’d want to have :)

2.       At what age did you decide you wanted to pursue a writing career?

Honestly? Writing wasn’t something I ever aspired to do. I didn’t think I could. But, in February 2013, I spent over $400 in eBooks and my husband was NOT happy. He told me I should write a book to support my habit. I think he regrets that now because I spend way more on covers, editing, blog tours, etc. than I ever did on books LOL.

3.       Do you remember the first book you ever wrote? And if so, what was it about?

The first book I ever wrote was the first one I published - Save Me From Myself. It’s about a girl who has a controlling mother, a d-bag ex, and she just needs to start over. Poor Lyric has pretty much all of my negative traits, she’s a little shy, she’s non-confrontational, and she has a lot of trouble trusting. It’s the only book my mom refuses to read because she says the sex scenes creep her out too much!

4.       Are you an outliner or a pantser?

I do both. Some chapters I have a very specific idea of what needs to happen and how they are going to get from point A to point B, but other chapters are completely off the cuff and they usually end up being my favorites.

5.       You seem to have released quite a few books in a short amount of time? How long does it take you to write a novel?

I have - I just finished book 6 last week, and book 7 will be finished by the end of this weekend because it comes out this month. This is going to make me sound awful, but I have a serious procrastination problem. I set insane deadlines, like 4 weeks to write a book, and then I procrastinate until the week the book is due. Then, I write 10-15k a day to finish the book. So, I’ll say a month, but it’s really only about 5-6 days.

6.       What is your favorite social media site and why?

Facebook. I love to chat with people, and the games are kinda cool too.

7.       I absolutely LOVE your covers, who designs them?

Thanks! I love them too! The photographs and cover designs were done by Sara Eirew Photographer & Designer.

8.       Were you a blogger before or after you began writing?
Before. I was a book blogger and then started writing.

9.       What would you say has been your biggest success since you began writing?

It’s a hard choice. One of my biggest successes was finishing my first book. It was a huge accomplishment. But, I also go to write a book with one of my favorite authors this summer and it hit both the New York Times & USA Today Bestseller lists which is also huge.

10.   What gives you inspiration?

Lots of things. Music - I have so many playlists, Movies, other books. I get inspiration from everything.

Stacey is the New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author of Second Chances (co-authored with H.M. Ward) and the Nashville Nights series.

She is also a wife, mother, writer and self-professed bookwhore - not necessarily in that order! As the mother of three growing boys, her Kindle has become her temporary escape from the insanity of boys, dogs and her husband. Stacey can usually be found curled up with her iPad when she's supposed to be writing or creating endless playlists on Spotify!
